Cognis Care Chemicals and Laboratoires Sérobiologiques have announced that 63 Cognis products have been evaluated and certified as natural ingredients by the NPA and therefore have met the guidelines set in The Natural Standard.
The Natural Products Association is the oldest and largest non-profit organisation dedicated to the natural products industry in the United States. “For Cognis Care Chemicals, natural renewable raw materials provide the backbone of our product portfolio—from primary surfactants to active ingredients,” says Josef Koester, the Cognis Care Chemicals North American director of marketing. Cognis products approved by the NPA cover a wide range of products including innovative, hightech actives from Laboratoires Sérobiologiques and specialty chemicals from Care Chemicals such as Eumulgin SG, a powerful emulsifier made from plant derived materials. Others include Euperlan Green, the first green pearlising wax dispersion that is vegetable based and free from ethylene oxide and amine feedstock, and Plantasil Micro, a hair care additive for green shampoos.
