Anti-redness peptide matrix introduced

Grant Industries Inc has launched Granactive AR-1423, a unique delivery matrix that can be used in cosmetic treatments to alleviate the redness associated with red (rosacea-like) skin types or after mild sun exposure.

It combines a redness diminishing peptide, along with the anti-oxidant properties of tea, the calming properties of Boswellia serrata and the soothing quality of honey. Granactive AR-1423 contains tetrapeptide- 14, a specific peptide sequence (designed by the company’s supply partner Helix Biomedix). It acts by down regulating interleukin-6 (IL-6) to prevent inflammation, which in turn reduces MMP-1 damage with the net effect of a bright and even skin appearance. Granactive AR-1423 was screened in a leave-on cosmetic treatment at a 5% level on several subjects having excessive facial redness. This cosmetic treatment, using the combination of tetrapeptide-14 and botanicals, was effective at diminishing the redness by 50% over the course of the 4 week study.
• Grant Industries’ already large palette of cyclic-free Gransil elastomers has been broadened further with more solvent choices. The latest line is designed around a wide range of solvents with volatility indexes capable of delivering sensory effects spanning an instant powder feel all the way to a long-lasting silky payout. Solvent choices include low viscosity dimethicones, trimethicones, isododecanes (including vegetable-derived versions), alkyl trisiloxanes (including ethyl and caprylyl), and blends thereof, for the widest compatibility and textures.
