Key issues to be tackled at UK event

Accordingly, SCS Formulate is an event with activities that focus on the application of science and technology and that are designed to deliver the best possible outcomes in terms of ideas, innovation and technology transfer. This year, SCS Formulate will take place at the Ricoh Arena near Coventry in the UK (18 and 19 November).. For many years the UK has been a centre of excellence for the formulation and supply of personal care products. The role of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists, and its key event SCS Formulate, reflects the contribution to innovation, development and production that the UK makes to the global personal care market.

Topical and relevant

The Society of Cosmetic Scientists devised SCS Formulate in recognition of formulators’ needs to be kept up to date with technology advances, techniques, and other formulating aspects. This year’s event, as have previous events in the series, will offer a wealth of presentations, demonstrations and displays of ingredients backed up by top level experience and expertise. Many of the presentations will be completely free to attend. In the TechFocus sessions presented by leading UK and international experts, suppliers will outline properties to be obtained by the application of ingredients at the cutting edge of performance. There is also a series of seminars that deals with a number of essential day-today, real-world issues such as those relating to claims, product deterioration, sun protection in skin care and colour cosmetics, organic products, launching a new brand, products for sensitive skin, trends, and R&D – the scope for high value content is enormous. In recognition of the key target audience, the delegate rate for the seminars is set at a level offering superb cost effectiveness. The SCS is determined to ensure that SCS Formulate will be economical and affordable for all cosmetic chemists and scientists.
