Chemspire Introduces ChemCLR™ and ChemFlex™ at Suppliers' Day 2025 – Visit Booth 668

Chemspire, a trusted name in performance-driven innovation for the personal care industry, is excited to debut two new specialty ingredients at Suppliers' Day 2025: ChemCLR™ and ChemFlex™.

With over 40 years of technical expertise in product development for skin care, sun care, color cosmetics, and hair care, Chemspire continues to push boundaries with novel, patent-pending technologies that inspire product developers to innovate differently.

ChemCLR™ is a natural, fermentation-derived biopolymer that offers formulators a high-performance alternative to synthetic carbomers. This patent-pending ingredient delivers excellent clarity, suspension, and thickening properties without requiring heat or neutralization. For formulators, this means faster processing, greater flexibility, and compatibility with heat-sensitive actives.

What truly sets ChemCLR™ apart is its origin and functionality. As a naturally sourced material, it meets growing consumer interest in clean-label beauty. At the same time, it maintains its robust performance in challenging conditions, demonstrating superior resistance to degradation in the presence of salts, electrolytes, and polar substances. This makes it especially valuable in natural skincare and hair care systems where formulation complexity is the norm.

“ChemCLR™ allows formulators to achieve the texture, stability, and appearance they expect from carbomer with the added appeal of a natural origin and easier processing,” said a Chemspire spokesperson.

Meanwhile, ChemFlex™ is breaking new ground with its exceptional ability to disperse metal oxides into water-based formulations. This aqueous dispersion of a thermo-responsive anionic sulfopolyester enables formulators to work with hydrophobic materials, such as pigments and mineral UV filters, in entirely new ways.

Currently patent-pending for its role in sunscreen innovation, ChemFlex™ makes it possible to achieve uniform, stable dispersion of metal oxides like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide in water-based systems. This opens the door to lighter, more elegant textures in SPF and color cosmetic products, without sacrificing coverage or protection.

Beyond its dispersion capabilities, ChemFlex™ also brings film-forming, shine-enhancing, and humidity-resistant benefits to styling products, as well as smudge resistance and pigment enhancement in color cosmetics.
“These two ingredients address real formulation challenges with elegant, high-performance solutions,” the spokesperson added. “ChemCLR™ is the go-to choice for formulators who want a clean, natural thickener that performs under pressure. ChemFlex™ gives R&D teams a new tool for working with traditionally difficult materials like metal oxides.”

Attendees of Suppliers' Day 2025 are invited to visit Chemspire at Booth 668 to explore these two exciting innovations. Live demos, technical consultations, and prototype formulations will be available, giving formulators a hands-on look at what ChemCLR™ and ChemFlex™ can do.

If you’re looking for smart, functional ingredients that bring real value to product development, don’t miss Chemspire at Booth 668—we look forward to connecting.
