Mibelle Biochemistry unleashes ‘revolutionary’ exosomes active

Mibelle Biochemistry has taken the wraps off PhytoCellTec Exosomes, a skin care active that harnesses the power of plant stem cell-derived exosomes.

The Swiss manufacturer says the ‘revolutionary’ new product not only delivers these exosomes from outside into the skin, but also stimulates the production of exosomes by mesenchymal stem cells within the skin.

As we age our skin, the barrier function of the epidermis weakens, reducing its ability to protect against external aggressors such as UV radiation and pollution, and to retain moisture.

At the same time, collagen and elastin production in the dermis declines, resulting in sagging skin, particularly around the jawline and breasts.

“What makes PhytoCellTec Exosomes so special is the use of exosomes from plant stem cells that can interact with human cells, offering a range of benefits and significant potential for cosmetic applications,” said a spokeswoman.

“PhytoCellTec Exosomes has a dual exosome-based effect in both the epidermis and dermis. It protects the skin against external stress factors and rejuvenates it by increasing skin density and elasticity, reducing wrinkles and reshaping the contours of the face and breasts,” she added.

Exosomes are vesicles released by cells to enable communication between cells.

PhytoCellTec Exosomes contains plant-based exosomes that act directly on the epidermis to strengthen the skin barrier.

They also increase the release of exosomes by mesenchymal stem cells in the skin, which boosts collagen production and rejuvenates the skin through exosome-based communication with fibroblasts.
