Symrise’s Scent & Care business unit achieved revenue of €1.475 billion ($1.6 billion) in the first nine months of 2024, up 9.8% on the same period a year earlier.
The German firm said sales in the Cosmetic Ingredients division continued to develop strongly with high single-digit percentage organic growth.
Revenues increased significantly in the Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America regions, it added.
Only the North America region showed just a slight year-on-year growth.
The application areas for micro-protection and actives and botanicals also recorded very strong growth, it added.
Overall, Symrise's revenue across the group rose to €3.824 billion in the first nine months of 2024 (9M 2023: €3.610 billion), up 5.9%.
Looking ahead to full year 2024 results, Symrise expects organic sales growth of around 7%, compared to previous estimate of organic sales growth of between 5 and 7%.
The long-term EBITDA margin is still expected to be in the range of 20-23%.
"Symrise was able to seamlessly continue the positive business development of the past months in the third quarter,” said CEO Jean-Yves Parisot.
“Despite the current volatile market environment due to geopolitical tensions and continued inflation pressure, we are confident for the rest of the year and expect robust demand,” he added.
