French recombinant protein specialists Core Biogenesis has launched Peauvita and Peauforia, a pair of anti-ageing skin care active ingredients.
Leveraging its patent-pending plant biofactory production process, the Paris biotech outfit has harnessed bioactive compounds, such as peptides and proteins, within the seeds of Camelina sativa plants.
These proteins are expertly fused to the surface of Oleosomes - natural oilseed reservoirs - ensuring the stabilization of actives and enhancing their delivery to the skin.
Peauvita (EGF - Oleosome) and Peauforia (FGF2 - Oleosome) have undergone rigorous placebo-controlled clinical trials involving 60 participants, utilizing only a 1% incorporation rate of each active.
The third-party study revealed that Peauvita significantly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while boosting skin firmness in just 14 days.
Moreover, Peauforia was shown to diminish melanin in hyperpigmented areas and restore the skin barrier within the same timeframe.
Together, these actives offer a comprehensive solution targeting the four primary signs of ageing.
“The clinical results were truly remarkable, with noticeable improvements in just 14 days,” commented Tony Abboud, head of cosmetics at Core Biogenesis.
“I am confident that skincare brands worldwide will be eager to incorporate Peauvita and Peauforia into their upcoming formulations,” he added.
