Stephenson unwraps Durosoft polyglyceryl esters

British personal care ingredient maker Stephenson has unveiled Durosoft, a range of naturally derived polyglyceryl esters for the formulation of sustainable skin care, cosmetic, and hair care products.

Durosoft was developed to aid in the demand for natural products and green formulations across a wide variety of personal care and cosmetic applications, ranging from creams, solid lotions, cleansing oils, and micellar water.

As a mild and effective solution, Durosoft is said to be ideal for use as a water-in-oil or oil-in-water emulsifier to create stable emulsions, as a solubiliser, an emollient or as a foam booster.

“Durosoft offers multiple application functionalities – an emulsifying action to enhance stability and spreadability, and a solubilising effect that allows the stable incorporation of fragrances and oils while offering fantastic formulation stability,” said managing director Rob Carr.

Stephenson says Durosoft is compatible with common synthetic ingredients and is a great starting point for creating natural products. Its non-ionic characteristics make it a perfect choice to use with a broad range of cosmetic oils, active ingredients, surfactants, and co-emulsifiers.

It is also ideal for creating COSMOS, RSPO-SG certified, palm-free, and China-compliant products, it adds.
