The US Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) is accepting nominations for its 2024 Achievement Awards.
New this year is the SCC Education Award, which recognizes an SCC member for making outstanding contributions to the field of cosmetic science education.
“Acknowledging innovative research, advancements, and significant contributions in the cosmetic sciences is part of our organizational DNA,” said SCC chief executive Erica L. O’Grady.
“These prestigious awards recognize some of the best endeavours in the industry, including our newest SCC Education Award,” she added.
SCC is accepting nominations for the following other 2024 Achievement Awards.
The Maison G. deNavarre Medal is the Society’s highest honour. Named after the SCC’s founder, it recognizes an individual for accomplishments in activities supporting the best interests of the cosmetic industry through technical contributions.
The Florence Wall Women In Cosmetic Chemistry Award recognizes a woman for significant accomplishments in the cosmetic industry through technical contributions, leadership skills, and business excellence.
The Robert A. Kramer Lifetime Service Award recognizes an individual for extraordinary service to and distinguished leadership within SCC activities over the course of their membership.
Finally, the SCC Merit Award recognizes an individual for outstanding service, distinguished leadership, and exceptional contributions to the SCC on a national level.

The awards will presented at the SCC’s 78th Annual Scientific Meeting, which takes place on 11-13 December in Los Angeles, California.
