Sabinsa has launched Babchiol (Bakuchiol 99%), a natural active extracted from the Psoralea corylifolia plant (babchi), at the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) Suppliers’ Day.
This retinol-alternative offers the same anti-ageing benefits as retinoids, but is much gentler and without the risk of adverse effects.
Other naturally-derived products Sabinsa is highlighting at booth 1418 include Proscalpin, a patented, clinically studied blend for healthy haircare, as well as natural skin care actives for UV protection and melanogenesis inhibition PTeroWhite, and Sabiwhite.
“These ingredients are backed by Sabinsa’s long history of clinical research and IP support,” said a spokeswoman.
“Sabinsa’s well-established commitment to sustainability and fair trade will appeal to today’s consumers, who want to know that brands whose products they use are part of the solution,” she added.
Meanwhile, Anurag Pande, Sabinsa VP for scientific affairs, will give a presentation on 2 May from 10:35am to 11am at room 1A02 titled ‘Nourishing Beauty – The intersection of Nutrition and Cosmetics’.
Pande will address this hot topic for the cosmetics/personal care industry as part of the Inspiration & Innovation in the nutricosmetics track.
