Eckart is to present the latest addition to its Mirage range of cosmetic pigments at next month’s in-cosmetics Global trade show in Paris.
The German manufacturer said Mirage Glamour Space Silver combines the advantages of two pigment worlds by offering the optical effects of a metallic pigment while being based on borosilicate.
“This combination opens an immense range of formulation options, as the effect pigment is also stable in water-based systems,” it added.
“With Mirage Glamour Space Silver, the effect pigment manufacturer is introducing another visually highly interesting pigment: it gives cosmetic formulations a pronounced silver metallic sparkle with an icy blue touch.”
The pigment is suitable for any formulation, including water-based systems and sensitive areas such as lips and eyes.
To meet the requirements of the widest possible customer base, the new pigment is suitable for natural cosmetics (COSMOS and V-Label), halal and kosher, as well as being free from microplastics and palm oil.
Mirage Glamour Space Silver is approved worldwide; it complies with the relevant European and US cosmetics regulations for cosmetic ingredients and is listed with the NMPA in China.
Eckart will present the new ingredient at its in-cosmetics Global stand,1D60, on 16 -18 April.
