Micro Powders promotes John McAllister to spearhead personal care division

Micronized wax maker Micro Powders has appointed John McAllister as its vice president of sales for the personal care and industrial divisions.

With this promotion, McAllister will lead the entire sales organization and develop strategies to achieve Micro Powders’ fiscal targets along with expansion into new markets.

The Tarrytown, New York outfit said in his 26-year career at Micro Powders, McAllister has bolstered sales and demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the company.

His accomplishments allowed him to climb the ranks from regional sales manager (1998), to domestic sales manager (2006), and most recently director of global sales – industrial division (2016).

Prior to joining Micro Powders, John worked in chemical distribution for Dar-Tech Inc. where he was a technical sales representative responsible for account management and new sales development for the coatings, graphic arts, and adhesives industries. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Slippery Rock University.

“I am excited and honoured to transition into this new leadership role. I look forward to continuing to contribute to the growth and success of Micro Powders,” he said.

Micro Powders said McAllister’s experience in leading sales teams, coupled with product expertise and knowledge specific to various industries that utilize wax powders has laid a strong foundation for success.
