CPL Aromas cuts ribbon on Malaysia factory

Fragrance maker CPL Aromas has inaugurated a 20,000 square-meter factory at Selangor Halal Hub in Pulau Indah, Malaysia.

Trial production at the facility commenced in early June, with full-scale production expected to be in operation by year-end.

Strategically located near Port Klang, the facility enables convenient importation of raw materials and exportation of finished goods to regional markets.

“With a projected workforce of around 50 individuals, predominantly in the semi-skilled and skilled worker categories, CPL Aromas is excited about the opportunities this new factory will bring to the region and the fragrance industry as a whole,” said a spokeswoman.

“CPL Aromas is proud to emphasise that all ingredients used and finished products are Halal compliant and can cater to both the Malaysian market and exports to other ASEAN countries,” she added.

“We look forward to a bright future in Malaysia and remains dedicated to providing exceptional fragrances to its global customer base.”

The facility features an automated warehousing system to enhance the efficiency of raw material transport and storage.

Additionally, the factory is designed to minimize environmental impact and reduce carbon footprints, featuring solar panels, cold-storage insulated walls and ceilings, rainwater harvesting systems, wastewater treatment plants, energy-saving heat pumps, LED lighting, CIP cleaning processes and more.
