UK-based speciality oils supplier Kerfoot is to transition fully to sister company Oleon’s brand name by April 2024.
Kerfoot was acquired by Avril in 2015 and the latter has decided to join the two subsidiaries – employees, products, and expertise - under the Oleon global brand.
With more than 100 employees and a turnover of around £100m, Kerfoot exports to over 40 countries worldwide via its four sites in Yorkshire.
Kerfoot delivers over 100,000 tonnes of oil per annum to personal care and other global customers using its logistics fleet in the UK.
Kerfoot commercial director said: “It is a natural evolution for our business and an excellent move for the UK team, which will enable us to work together as true innovators in the industry to build long-lasting relationships with all our partners.
“Our mission to be the preferred supply partner of refined and specialty oil markets remains unchanged, as we strive to provide best-in-class quality and service under the Oleon name.”
Oleon managing director and Kerfoot CEO Jeroen Dirckx added: “This is an exciting time for our business as we begin our journey to build a global brand that brings together a perfect blend of complementary products to support our valued partners, enabling them to grow with us.”
“This shared vision and ambition, coupled with our drive to build a sustainable business as part of the Avril Group, enables Kerfoot and Oleon to grow disruptively in the food, health and beauty markets, creating a synergy that will be mutually beneficial to both businesses.”
