The UK Society of Cosmetic Scientists (SCS) has unveiled the first keynote speakers for its annual conference in Cambridge on 4-5 July.
The speeches include ‘The Road to Net Zero – A Simple, Uncomplicated, and Affordable Solution’ by Adam Lowe, senior manager at The Hut Group.
There will also be an address by Dr Louise Anderson, research director at packaging company NotPla, which creates entirely sustainable single-use packaging from seaweed and plants, on Winning an Earthshot Prize.
The theme of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists’ Annual Conference this year is Success & Sustainability.
At a time when increased fuel costs and inflation are already putting the squeeze on companies, the conference will discuss how cosmetic science can help businesses in the sector achieve both the economic growth that they desire, and the environmental sustainability that has become an essential consideration.
Covering all aspects of the industry from ingredients sourcing and formulation, through to manufacturing and packaging, with expert presentations, a range of exhibitors, and undoubtedly some lively debates, the conference takes place at Anglia Ruskin University.
Delegate fees, which start at £365 + VAT with significant discounts for SCS Members, include full access to the conference and all networking events, as well as lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments, and a wine reception on the evening of 4 July.
Early Bird discounts are available until this Friday, making the fees from £330 + VAT.
