Australian marine ingredient producer Marinova has launched a graduate programme to support the next generation of fucoidan experts.
Marinova makes highly bioactive polysaccharides derived from select species of brown seaweed.
High purity fucoidan is an ingredient sought after for a range of nutritional, cosmetic and animal health applications.
“Our exceptional leadership team will be mentoring our first graduate over the course of the next 12 months, providing experience across all facets of the company’s operations,” said CEO Paul Garrott.
“Following successful completion of the program, graduates are offered a permanent role at Marinova in the area most suited to their skillset and interests,” he added.
Rising to the fore of a highly competitive field in the program’s inaugural year was Dr Ellie Paine.
“Dr Paine has recently completed her PhD in seaweed science and is passionate about pursuing a career in biotechnology,” said Garrott.
