French plant-based cosmetic active producer Biolie has opened its first North American office as it looks to expand in the US market.
The sales and support office in Houston, Texas is led by technical sales engineer Jordan Yeboah (pictured), who will be Biolie’s first representative based in the US.
Yeboah will be able to support companies in their projects involving natural and upcycled ingredients.
Biolie’s new office in the US will promote and provide a variety of Cosmos-approved and Cosmos-certified plant-based cosmetic ingredients, obtained via a solvent-free enzymatic extraction eco-process.
“This is an opportunity for the company to get closer to its current American customers and starting partnerships with new ones. Currently 40% of Biolie’s turnover comes from exports, of which only 6% from the United States,” a spokewoman said.
“The company's intention is to expand further into the US market, the largest cosmetic market in the world, with the support of ChemSpec, Biolie's exclusive US distributor,” she added.
