Dr Christoph Riemer has taken over as chief executive of German supplier of chemical specialities Zschimmer & Schwarz as of 1 January.
Together with chief financial officer Dietmar Clausen (pictured, right) and chief operating officer Dr Felix Grimm (pictured, left), Riemer (pictured, centre) has been charged with determining the future course of the globally operating company group.
The previous general manager of operations, Wolfgang Nowak, left the company at his own request on 31 December to take on new professional challenges.
Dr Martin Haberl, previously general manager of sales & marketing, left general management at the same time.
With his many years of experience, Harberl will continue to be available to Zschimmer & Schwarz in an advisory capacity before retiring, probably in mid-2023.
“With Wolfgang Nowak, Dr Martin Haberl and Dietmar Clausen at the head of Zschimmer & Schwarz, the family business with a long tradition has grown strongly, opened up new sales markets and developed into a globally active supplier of chemical specialities and auxiliaries,” said Dr Bernd Reckmann, Chairman of the Advisory Board.

Riemer, who has been part of the Zschimmer & Schwarz Group since 1 August 2022, said: “I have used the first few months intensively to gain a good insight into our business divisions, our customer base and our markets, and of course to get to know our national and international locations as well as our employees.
“As a team, we have made it our mission to continue the success story of Zschimmer & Schwarz while at the same time identifying new potential worldwide and opening up further growth markets.
