Integrity Ingredients has launched Chaga Mushroom Liquid Extract for use in skincare, scalp care, body care, eye and lip products.
The chaga mushroom, a parasitic fungus most commonly found growing on birch trees, has the highest ORAC (oxygen radical absorbance capacity) antioxidant scores ever recorded in any natural food, according to the California firm.
Rich in polyphenols and flavonoids, it helps to maintain the skin’s overall quality and appearance due to its high antioxidant contents that neutralizes damaging free radicals.
Chaga Mushroom Liquid Extract (INCI: Glycerin (and) Water (and) Inonotus Obliquus (Mushroom) Extract) also contains essential nutritive minerals such as zinc, copper, magnesium, selenium, potassium plus vitamins B, C and E.
The product, part of Integrity’s Arctic Botanical portfolio, is available as botanical extract in a glycerin base and as an extract combined with natural birch water.
