The organisers of the Making Cosmetics trade show in Milan have announced this year’s event will include the inaugural Wise Ingredient awards.
The awards will recognise the best raw materials for each field of application – skincare, hair care, makeup and toiletries – on the basis of documentation submitted and evaluation of the judging parameters.
Applications for the awards, which are open to exhibitors, must be submitted to makingcosmetics@step-exhibitions.com by 16 September. Each participant may send a maximum of one ingredient per application field.
The winners will be announced at the 2022 show, which takes place at MiCo (Fiera Milano Congressi) on 23-24 November.
This year’s Making Cosmetics will be the ninth edition of the event, which is the only event in Italy dedicated to the science of beauty and wellbeing.
The 2021 edition saw more than 150 exhibitors and around 2,400 visitors.
Making Cosmetics will also feature the fourth edition of the in-Vitality show, which brings together professionals in the nutraceutical sector.
“in-Vitality is becoming more an event of its own, with the support of important national associations,” said event director Sara Valorz.
