Biesterfeld Spezialchemie will exclusively distribute natural-origin ingredients for personal care made by French manufacturer Laboratoires Expanscience in the DACH region (excluding French-speaking Switzerland) and Poland.
The distribution agreement covers a product portfolio of over 30 active ingredients used in formulations for hair and skin care.
The portfolio of the family-owned group Laboratoires Expanscience is based on innovative, sustainably sourced active ingredients that combine naturalness and functionality.
The raw materials are 100% of natural origin and the majority are COSMOS certified while 43% of the products come from upcycling.
The ingredients are used in skin care lines for babies and adults as well as versatile cosmetic products, ranging from anti-aging to anti-acne.
"The new partnership with Laboratoires Expanscience, gives us the opportunity to complete our unique portfolio of actives. Laboratoires Expanscience's raw materials offer an excellent balance between naturalness and effectiveness," said Bettina Heick, business manager of LifeScience at Biesterfeld Spezialchemie.

In a related development, Biesterfeld is expanding its long-term partnership with US ingredient manufacturer IFF Health & Biosciences by agreeing to distribute the Genencare bioactives portfolio in Poland.
The portfolio consists of a range of all-natural, 100% plant-based active ingredients that deliver benefits across skin, hair care and color cosmetics.
