Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) has named Ilaria Resta, global president of perfumery at Firmenich, as the winner of the 2022 CEW Achiever Award.
Resta is the only woman to date to reach a rank this high at a major fragrance house. The company said that she has championed diversity and women’s leadership, with the result that Firmenich has become the seventh company in the world, and the first in the fragrance industry, to be globally certified as a gender-equal employer by EDGE.
Resta came to Firmich in March 2020 after 22 years with Procter & Gamble during which she was involved in such well-known brands as Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences and Aussie and was 2019 Brand Builder of the Year in the US by fashion trade journal WWD.
The CEW award, which is made annually to celebrate the most accomplished women in the sector, will be given at the 2022 Live Women’s Leadership Awards Luncheon in New York on 22 June. CEW has 10,500 members from 3,500 companies in the beauty industry worldwide.
