Petronas Chemicals Group (PCG) operation BRB International has officially opened a GMP blending facility in the vicinity of PCG’s petrochemical complex in Gebeng, Kuantan, Malaysia. This has 8,000 tonnes/year of capacity.
The facility will produce cosmetic grade silicone gum blend, silicone EMPOL emulsion and amino-silicone emulsion for the Asia-Pacific and Middle East/Africa regions, among other things. It has ISO 22000, HACCP, MeSTI, Halal and Kosher certificates.
This came a month after Netherlands-based BRB International rebranded itself “to reflect its journey as a subsidiary of PCG” and unveiled a new logo. The company is mostly active in lube oil additives but also supplies silicones for personal care applications.
