New results for DSM antioxidant

DSM has released some new in vitro and in vivo results for Alpaflor Edelweiss CB, a 95%+ natural antioxidant sourced from Alpine plant extract

The company found that it reverses the glycation process by 47% and boosts collagen I by 111% in vitro, while in vivo studies showed that it “significantly reduced” glycation and glycation-related signs of skin aging like fine lines, in all facial areas after four weeks.

“Compared to the placebo, these results were especially noticeable on the forehead, upper lip, and jaw line,” DSM said. Alpaflor Edelweiss CB has been used in serums, mists and creams in the firm’s new Elix range “to help soothe, protect, firm and rejuvenate the skin”.
