Symrise is recruiting recent college graduates from North America and Latin America to join its Perfumery School. The company said that it is seeking “a diverse demographic of aspiring fragrance experts to bring fresh perspectives that add new understanding to the evolving needs and expectations of customers and consumers”.
The five-year programme starts in April 2022 and involves three years learning the foundations of perfumery at Symrise Holzminden, followed by two training at work in one of its 11 creative centres around the world, guided by mentors and master perfumers. After this, they will join the regional perfumery teams.
The course will include studying 2,500 ingredients, to learn how to create complex fragrance compositions and then incorporate them into various applications. Students will apply this knowledge practically, learning to identify individual raw materials in fragrance compositions and becoming skilled at fragrance creation and development.
