Shower Gel
EMD Millipore Corporation
Preparation:
Add Keltrol T to the water with stirring and mix until thoroughly dispersed. Add Phase B in order, with stirring, and stir slowly until the gel is smooth and homogeneous. Disperse the dyes and pigments of Phase C in an aliquot of the gel. Add the coloured aliquot to the bulk of the gel and mix until the colour is uniform. Adjust the final pH to -7, with the citric acid and/or TEA, as required.Notes:
This type of product has been successfully made using Rona® Timiron® Splendid Pigments in shades of blue, copper, gold, green, red and violet. Very attractive products can be prepared by using contrasting dyes (for masstone) and interference colours. For example, using FD&C Blue #1 with Splendid Gold yields a blue solution with a gold interference; using FD&C Blue #1 and FD&C Yellow #5 with Splendid Red gives a light green product with a red interference.Disclaimer
