Cold Process Soap Using Exotic Butters & Oils (Sensitive To Normal Skin) BCI0706
Hallstar
Preparation:
Prepare moulds and any other ingredients in advance. Phase A: Dissolve lye in the distilled water (Add the lye slowly to the water – it will react immediately with the water and get very hot!) Let this mixture cool to 55°C. Phase B: Separately, heat oils to 55°C. Melt the exotic butters with the oils until clarified (approximately 55°C max). Carefully add phase A to phase B at 55°C; stir until trace (thick slurry). Stirring can take up to 1 hour using a mixer. At trace add the essential oil. Stir to mix thoroughly and pour into moulds. Insulate with covers and allow to rest undisturbed for 24 hours. Unmould and cut into desired shapes. Cure for at least 3-5 weeks.Disclaimer
