Croda Plex – New
This newly developed system defends against colouring and bleaching damage and improves the integrity of damaged hair after it’s been treated. It was created to meet the rapidly growing consumer demand for bond multipliers.
Croda’s new Plex system builds bonds and boasts unique heat-activated properties that increase hair integrity within the cortex and protect the cuticle during blow-drying. The Croda Plex system is powered by several high performance Croda ingredients, including:
- Crodasone™ Cystine is a copolymer of the amino acid cysteine and a silane that covalently bonds to hair to impart conditioning benefits
- Keravis™ PE is a powerful hair strengthening active that acts on all of the three fundamental parameters of hair strength: tensile properties, bending modulus and cuticle abrasion
- Crodazosoft™ DBQ delivers superior softening, even on aged hair, while defending against cuticle abrasion and helping to protect artificial color
Kerestore 2.0 – New Data
New data for Kerestore 2.0 demonstrates the ability of this novel keratin quat to make hair look and feel thicker. Combining the best of science and nature, Kerestore 2.0 takes biomimetics to the next level. Developed using proteomics, the amino acid sequences of the peptides found in Kerestore 2.0 match those present in the keratin proteins found in cuticular and cortical regions of human hair. KeraDyn™ HH - New Data
Croda shows that KeraDyn HH is now proven to offer excellent conditioning properties in different hair types, with different types of damage, in addition to its healthy hair dynamics benefit.
By reducing inter-fibre friction and enhancing fibre alignment, KeraDyn HH was shown, through a Hair Dynamics test developed in conjunction with the Centre for Visual Computing at the University of Bradford, to improve the movement of damaged hair, returning it to a healthier performance. In addition to this previous data, Croda has now demonstrated that KeraDyn HH has effective conditioning properties – when used as the only conditioning agent in a system and in synergy when used in combination with commonly used quats. This data also reinforces the flexibility of KeraDyn HH to meet the global trend of “minimalistic” formulations, while delivering high-level performance to the hair.
KeraDyn HH is suitable and indicated for all hair types. It has been shown to be highly effective on damaged European hair, chemically straightened Latin American Hair and coloured Asian hair. It is compatible with commonly used quats, is cold processable and is suitable for clear systems.
